Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is all set to tie the knot with Dr Gurpreet Kaur in a private ceremony here on Thursday.

With celebrations in full swing, the Aam Aadmi Party leaders expressed their happiness and excitement for the wedding.

Talking to reporters here, AAP MP Raghav Chadha said, “Saade veer da vyah, Sanu gode gode chaa (My brother is getting married, I am extremely happy).”

He took to Twitter and shared a picture with Mann, who can be seen in a golden attire wearing a yellow turban.

Replying to a journalist’s tweet about how one thought that he was the most eligible bachelor in the AAP, Chadha wrote: “Chhote da number vadde ton baad hi aunda hai (The younger one’s turn comes after the elder).”

He expressed that Mann will be starting a new phase of his life and congratulated Mann's family, his mother and sister.

He said it was his mother's dream to see her son getting settled again. Seeing that dream coming true made him and the party happy.  

Meanwhile, tight security arrangements were made at the residence of the chief minister here.

According to the AAP, family members of Mann, including his mother and sister, and a few guests would attend the wedding, which would be solemnised according to Sikh rituals.
