UK daily Covid-19 cases fall to 109,133

Britain recorded 109,133 new cases of Covid-19 on Thursday, down from 129,587 on Wednesday and nearly 24% lower over the last 7 days compared to the week before.

The number of deaths within 28 days of a positive test reported on Thursday was 335, down from 398 on Wednesday. Deaths in the last 7 days were up 67% compared to a week earlier, likely reflecting a spike in cases over the Christmas period. Reuters
