Veteran Jasleen wins six medals

Chandigarh: City athlete Jasleen won two gold medals, three silver and one bronze

in the recently concluded India Masters Athletics Championship. She won a gold medal each in the hurdles and mixed relay, while she finished second in the 400m, 100m and 4x100m competitions. She bagged the third position in the 200m race. TNS

Pandove mourns Minna's death

Chandigarh: Former BCCI treasurer MP Pandove on Monday mourned the death of his former Punjab teammate Ashwini Minna. Pandove said Minna was a talented leg-spinner. Minna played 25 for Punjab during 1975-76 and took 73 wickets, with best bowling figures of 6/15. Minna later on took to journalism and was the resident editor of Punjab Kesari in Delhi. He also got elected to 16th Lok Sabha from Karnal as a BJP candidate. TNS
