Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Sunday inaugurated a cultural festival at Nainital’s Kainchi Dham on the occasion of Uttarayani festival.

He also called upon the people to join the cleanliness campaign in Kainchi Dham and Ghorakhal temple.

The chief minister also attended the exercise as part of the cleanliness campaign at Shri Ram Shila in Kainchi Dham and offered prayers.

Dhami also offered prayers to Neem Karori Baba at Kainchi Dham and wished for happiness, peace and prosperity of the state.

He also appreciated the work of ‘paryavaran mitras’ involved in the cleanliness campaign and interacted with them.

On Ram temple consecration ceremony, Dhami said that January 22 will be a historic day. “On this day, Ram Lalla will be seated in Ayodhya, which is an auspicious occasion for the country,” he added.

He said the state government was also organising cultural events and special cleanliness campaigns at all religious and tourist places ahead of the consecration ceremony.
