Unloading of construction material a nuisance

Show comments

The unloading of cement, sand, bricks and other construction material at Himuda Colony in Sector 5 has been leading to traffic jams in the area. Big trucks carrying construction material ply on the congested residential road of the colony even during peak hours, leading to traffic jams. The material is unloaded by builders and contractors with impunity right on the road, which cause inconvenience to people. Travelling from Sector 6 to Sector 5 and on the Vikasnanagar-BCS road, one can see heaps of construction material being dumped under the nose of the police, NHAI and the PWD. The authorities must check the menace.

Link road in bad condition

ThE Kangu-Dehar link road near Ambika Mata Temple at Alsu in Mandi has been in bad condition for a few months. The patch is causing a lot of inconvenience to commuters. The rainwater stagnates in the deep potholes that dot the road at several places, making driving risky. Pedestrians also use the link road and its bad condition may prove fatal to them. The road is in dire need for repair.
