Two officials found absent in surprise check

Ambala, January 20

Deputy Commissioner Ashok Kumar Sharma today made a surprise visit at the office of District Red Cross Society in Ambala and found the secretary and clerk absent.

The DC reached the office and checked the attendance register. After finding Secretary Vijay Luxmi and clerk Sunil absent and also not finding their leave applications in the office, he inquired about the officials from the on-duty staff but they failed to give any satisfactory reply. He instructed the absent officials to submit their clarifications regarding their absenteeism within two days. He said he will be taking action against the officials who remain absent from duties. — TNS
