Chandigarh, April 14

Renowned Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has recently joined ‘Vimal Pan Masala’ club alongside Ajay Devgn-Shah Rukh Khan duo, who are endorsing the brand for quite some time now. The brand recently released an advertisement that featured Shah Rukh Khan and Ajay Devgn, where a glimpse of Khiladi Kumar was shown at the end.

The clip showed Khan and Devgn talking about a new “Khiladi”, seemingly a reference to Akshay Kumar’s breakthrough role in theKhiladifilm series. The scene then cut to a silhouette, apparently of Akshay.

Akshay’s decision to feature in tobacco commercial has drawn flak on social media. Netizens have called him out for his hypocrisy as he has been a vocal supporter of campaigns against such products. People, in-fact started mocking his ad where he endorses a sanitary pad and decries smoking.

In the course, social media has also brought up an old video where Akshay, while responding to a journalist, emphatically said that endorsing ‘guthka’ and related products is ‘galat kaam’.

Akshay also mentions how he turned down many such offers from brands who were willing to pay big amounts.

Amid schooling Akshay, users have also started a meme fest to mock his entry in the league.
