‘Match in heaven’: Sachin Tendulkar plays cricket with locals in Kashmir

India great Sachin Tendulkar playing cricket in Kashmir is nothing but a ‘treat to the eye’. It happened when the legendary batter engaged in a vibrant ‘gully cricket’ match with the locals in J&K.

Accompanied by his wife Anjali and daughter Sara, Tendulkar is on a holiday to Kashmir.

In a post on X on Thursday, Tendulkar shared a video of him, which he titled “Cricket & Kashmir: A MATCH in HEAVEN!”.

In the video, the ‘master blaster’ was seen having a good time while playing cricket on the street with the locals. Tendulkar entertained them with his cover drive, straight drive and lofted shot.

After the short cricket session, Sachin clicked a few selfies with the local cricket fans.

Recently, Tendulkar also visited bat manufacturing units in south Kashmir signifying a milestone for the industry.

He is the first top cricketer in the world to visit such units in Kashmir Valley.

Tendulkar was seen examining bats of various sizes during his visit. He also interacted with workers at these units.
