Track your file through RTF

A few days ago, Run Thru File (RTF) arrangement was made by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar for people to know the status of their files. Now, with the implementation of file tracking system in local bodies, people will be able to know where their application or file is on their cellphone while sitting at home. Delayed disposal of files from this system will be curbed, but it will also require that a time limit be set for every task and file tracking system is implemented in every office. In case of delay in the disposal of file, a response from the officer concerned should be sought. If any objection is made to a file, a message should be sent on the applicant's cell phone, so that he can remove the objection. This is also happening in many Central government departments.

MC must collect leftover food, give it to gaushalas

IT is unfortunate that cows are feeding on trash, mostly polythene, which is resulting in their death due to choking. The Municipal Corporation should collect leftover food and eatables in separate collection boxes from the houses along with the collection of garbage. The eatables can be supplied to cow sanctuaries. The MC authorities can take the initiative to collect eatables such as rotis, vegetable waste besides cattle feed, as a number of people want to donate the feed to cows. This initiative can help the authorities in meeting out the problem of shortage of food for cows. This step can also help the town in getting rid of stray cattle, as the cow sanctuary will not have any dearth of feed for the cows.

Overflowing sewers spread stink, a health hazard

THE overflowing sewer near House No. 2328, Sector 9, HSVP, near Bawa Vihar, Ambala City, paints a picture of neglect. The area stinks badly. It is difficult for residents to sit in the open or keep the windows open. This is common at many places in the sector, but neither the staff members check the lines in routine nor senior officers or stakeholders take any cognisance of such issues. We hope the authorities concerned will take immediate action, as any infringement reflects badly at cleanliness drives also, for which government is spending huge funds.

Garbage scattered near Narwana temples

ONE can see garbage scattered all around three popular temples adjoining two medical clinics in Narwana. It even spills on to the middle of the main road at times. Despite already filthy surroundings, people keep on throwing garbage mindlessly without any hesitation and the most surprising thing about it is that nobody stops them from doing so. Indeed, hellish conditions prevail and one wonders how people live around the area.
