Two Indian fencers participating in the World Junior and Cadet Championships in Cairo have tested positive for Covid-19, leading to them being quarantined there. Fencing Association of India president Rajiv Mehta said that the infected fencers were doing fine and being looked after by the team doctor. India had fielded 24 fencers in the tournament which ended today.

Wrestler Sonam pulls out of Asian Championships
Sonam Malik has pulled out of the Asian Wrestling Championships to be held in Almaty later this month. The Haryana wrestler had won an Olympics quota here, but injured her knee during her semifinal win in the 62kg category at the Asian Olympic qualifiers in Almaty. She withdrew from the final. The Asian Championships is scheduled to be held from April 13 to 18.
