The Indian team combination has gone for a toss due to the injuries, and Ajinkya Rahane would know that discretion is the better part of valour. India might just want to use the option of playing only four bowlers in order to take the game deep with their batting. If Mayank Agarwal is available, expect him to go in at No. 3, with Pujara and Rahane to follow. There is the option of playing Prithvi Shaw or Wriddhiman Saha in place of Ravindra Jadeja but off-spin all-rounder Washington Sundar’s name is also doing the rounds. India would be more worried about the bowling attack. Navdeep Saini and Mohammed Siraj have played just three Tests between them, while Shardul Thakur bowled only 10 balls in his debut Test two years back. All of them need to rise to the occasion.
