Srikanth moves to second round of Thailand Masters

Bangkok: Indian shuttler Kidambi Srikanth opened his campaign at the Thailand Masters with a 22-20 21-19 win over Chinese Taipei’s Wang Tzu Wei today. S Sankar Muthusamy Subramanian won 21-14 21-17 over Leong Jun Hao of Malaysia. Malvika Bansod and Ashmita Chaliha also cruised to the second round of the women’s singles event.

Haryana failed to secure the top-two berth for the first time, finishing third with 35 gold, 22 silver and 46 bronze.
