Indian golfer Shubhankar Sharma carded a 1-over 73 in the final round to sign off tied-48th at the BMW PGA Championship here. Sharma’s total was even-par 288. Tyrrell Hatton earned a dream victory at his home event. He finished at 19-under.

Former India football captain Chapman dies
Former India football captain Carlton Chapman, who formed a deadly trio at the club level with Bhaichung Bhutia and IM Vijayan in the 1990s, died today following a heart attack in Bengaluru. He was 49. A creative midfielder, Chapman played for India between 1995 and 2001. The country won the 1997 SAFF Cup under his captaincy. At the club level, he had successful spells with East Bengal and JCT Mills.
