Manisha’s brace seals India’s win against Estonia

Alanya (Turkey): The Indian football team withstood a late charge by Estonia to pick up a hard-fought 4-3 win in the Turkish Women’s Cup. This was India’s first victory against a European nation. Manisha Kalyan struck in the 17th and 81st minutes while Indumathi Kathiresan (62nd) and Pyari Xaxa (79th) scored the other goals for the Chaoba Devi-coached side. Lisette Tammik (32nd), Vlada Kubassova (88th) and Mari Liis Lillemae (90th) found the target for Estonia.
