Chandigarh, December 17

It took the heavens' might to save England on the second day of the day-night second Ashes at the Adelaide Oval on Friday.

Australia declared their first innings on 473-9 and then reduced England to 17-2 to take charge of the day-night second Ashes test on Friday. It was here that nature decided to step in.

A dramatic photo of the lightning bolt that stopped play has the internet gushing over the glory of it.

The photo captured by a stump camera has since gone viral.

“What a dramatic capture on stump cam,” one user wrote. Another decided nothing summed up England's relief at mother nature's intervention quite like Queen's 'Bohemian Rhapsody'.
