Ambala: Darshan Academy , Ambala, organised a spiritual talk for teachers on ‘role of spiritual master in our life’. Speaker Sunita Arora said a spiritual master was a divine power, a mentor who helps in solving problems in all spheres through his own experiences on the path of spirituality. She said the master connects a person with everlasting happiness. She said spirituality was science and proved it by telling stories and giving the instances of path shown by different saints, prophets and Gurus.

Students shine in Olympiad

Kurukshetra: As many as 13 students of TERI School, Kurukshetra, ranked in the first 100 of Hummingbird Olympiad, said Garima Gupta, chairperson of the Trust. The school approached the international Olympiad organisation Hummingbird this year to give students a chance to participate in the competition. Dr MP Gupta, the chief advisor of the campus, said Agampreet and Soham Gulati from 1st standard secured AIR rank 28, Jashan from second standard AIR rank15, Amandeep AIR 28 and Geetanshi AIR 55 from 4th standard, Varija Gupta AIR 78, both in maths and science, from 5th standard, Ishant and Soham both secured AIR 78 from 7th standard, Khushi and Nitin both secured 78 rank from 8th standard and Sanmeet AIR 55, Khushpreet AIR 78 both from Class 9.

State-level camp at Murthal varsity

Sonepat: A state-level camp under the Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) was organised at the DCR University of Science and Technology, Murthal, for educating and popularising science among school students from Class VI to XI. Inaugurating it, University’s VC Prof Rajindra Kumar Anayath said VVM was a national programme aimed at identifying bright minds among the student community, who are keen on subjects related to science. SLC are organised for top-20 rankers from each class for every state. As many as 141 selected students from 13 districts of the state attended the camp.

Samrat shoots gold in air pistol event

Karnal: Samrat Rana of Class IX of Pratap Public School, Sector 6, Karnal, has won a gold medal in 10m air pistol shooting in the open national shooting championship and a cash prize of Rs5 lakh. He won a silver medal in the U-17 Khelo India Youth Games and will get a prize of Rs50,000 per month for eight years. Principal Dr Puja Waalia Mann and staff members congratulated Samrat.
