Virtual lit fest at The Lawrence School, Sanawar

The school organised sixth edition of the Virtual Lit Fest in which 17 schools and more than 120 students from India and abroad participated in different events. The theme of this year’s Sanawar Lit Fest was “Our Glorious Nation India at 75." Events like character monologue, storytelling, book critique and poetry composition and recitation enthralled the audience. The Lit Fest was graced by multi-faceted jury members comprising Pooja Bedi, OS, an actor, newspaper columnist and talk show host; Rahat Mahajan, an OS and a renowned filmmaker; Sidharth Chauhan, youngest and the first independent filmmaker from Himachal Pradesh; Dr. Purnima Chauhan retd. IAS officer; Pooja Marwah, an author and CEO at CRY; Imtiaz Anees, OS, an author, a trained equestrian, Dr Manjiri Prabhu, an author, curator and Director of International Literary Festivals, Raaja Bhasin, a famous author and Jyotsna Mohan, OS, an author, media consultant and columnist. The Chief Guest for the sixth edition was Rahul Singh, a distinguished journalist, a famous author and an active member of an NGO which supports women empowerment. Headmaster, Himmat Singh Dhillon, appreciated the lively performances of the students and complemented them for their zeal and efforts. In Poetry Composition and Recitation Riddhima Sharma and Jeeya Arora of The Oasis School, Dehradun bagged the first position. In character monologue Ritosari Mandal of Learning Paths School, Mohali bagged the first position. In Storytelling Aayan Gautam of The Lawrence School, Sanawar got the first position whereas in Book Critique, Welham Girls' School, Dehradoon and New Indian Model School, Dubai were the joint winners. All in all the sixth edition of the Sanawar Lit Fest was a great success.
