As a part of the celebration of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ and to promote the Indian classical music and dance, the Music Department of the school organised a two-day workshop on the ‘Odissi’ classical dance. The final performance by the resource person, Sayan Mukherjee, a disciple of Padmashri Madhavi Mudgal, along with the students was mesmerising. During the workshop, the resource person explained the basics of Odissi dance, like ‘Tribhang’, ‘Chauk’ and other ‘mudras’. The show was appreciated by the dignitaries along with the Principal and everyone present. All the participants were given certificates at the end.
