Students celebrate Air Force Day

BVM Senior Secondary School Sec-39, Chandigarh Road Ludhiana: Air Force Day was observed with great zest and zeal by the staff of the school. On the occasion, Priya Malhotra embodied the gallantry saga of the great air warriors of the IAF through an PPT.

Vandana Behl verbalised the achievements of Air Force by glorifying its tremendous capability in the field of protecting the Indian air space in addition with search and rescue operations during natural calamities. In her message Principal Upasna Modgil emphasised that it is our responsibility to follow our inherited core values, develop our skills and hone our professionalism so as to deliver success in any mission in service to our nation.


BVM, Udham Singh Nagar: Hailing the air warriors on the occasion of 88th anniversary of the Indian Air Force, the school observed the day with zeal. Geeta Mishra, NCC Coach, apprised students about the sacrifices and the contribution made by air arm of the Indian Armed Forces and some heroic facts in the history of Indian Air Force. She told that the Indian Air Force has its prime responsibility of securing the Indian airspace.

Squadron leader Sahil Jain, an Alumnus who is posted as a qualified navigation instructor at Hyderabad, directed the students virtually for their career through a career counselling programme. Principal Bandana Sethi extended her wishes for Sahil Jain.


BCM Kindergarten:To commemorate the anniversary and salute the bravery of airmen, the school celebrated Air Force Day on Thursday. Children took part in various activities planned for the day. Nursery students made paper cap, LKG students made aircraft model with the help of ivory sheets, whereas UKG students expressed their gratitude by speaking few lines on it.


BVM, Kitchlu Nagar: The school conducted a webinar differentiating between facts and fake news under the guidance of Ministry of Education, Government of India, responding to the campaign titled Public health response to Covid-19 appropriate behaviour.

Pallavi Khanna disseminated information on preventive measures such as regular hand washing, keeping social distancing, cultivating empathy and safe caring behaviour for the sick so that students may react normal in abnormal conditions.

Providing insightful information, understanding Covid-19 science and general health by incorporating relevant health education- study of virus, its history , government policies, public health and safety measures are added in basic curriculum of general knowledge and other subjects too.
