Model School, Rohtak

A webinar on ‘Stress Management During Pandemic’ was organised by Model School, Rohtak. Students of Classes VIII to XII, their family members, teachers and non-teaching personnel participated. The school principal, Dr Aruna Taneja, said Rohtak Deputy Commissioner Capt Manoj Kumar, who is also the chairman of the Model School Education Society, presided over the webinar. Dr Promila Batra ‘Prabha’, a former professor of psychology at Maharshi Dayanand University, was the keynote speaker. Professor Promila pointed out that while the students were under the stress of examinations, the elders were apprehensive of getting sick and not surviving. “Such fears can be overcome by changing our attitude and reaction towards the given situation and seeing the things in a bigger perspective,” she observed. Society secretary Rajesh Sehgal, who convened the event, maintained that we were passing through a difficult phase, and we should face it with a positive mindset.

St Joseph's Senior Secondary School, Sector 40, Chandigarh, organised a webinar titled "Learn the techniques of stress management" by renowned educationist, academician and eminent resource person, Ajay Kumar. The main aim of the webinar was to provide teachers with a platform for genuine connection amidst uncertainty, encouraging them to field their questions to the expert, generate mental health awareness among teachers and strengthen demand for integrated mental health and psychosocial interventions.
