State Public School, Shahkot

Students celebrated Teej under the guidance of Dr. Narotam Singh and Dr. Gagandeep Kaur, President & Vice-President of State Public School, Shahkot. First position in solo song competition was bagged by Kavia from Kalpana Chawala House, second prize was won by Armanjit Kaur from Helen Keller House, and Somalpreet Kaur from Mother Teresa House grabbed the third position. In group song performance, for students from classes VI to VIII, Mother Teresa House was on number one position, Amrita Pritam House bagged the second position and third position was won by Helen Keller House. In group song performance, from classes IX to XII, Kalpana Chawala attained first position, Amrita Pritam House was IInd and Helen House was at 3rd place. The Principal of the school, Kanwar Neel Kamal told students about the importance of folk songs and folk dances. Meanwhile, the KG wing of the school organised a sand-painting activity to let students explore texture and colour mixing. They made different types of sand paintings under the guidance of teachers.
