Lohri was celebrated at the school. Students and staff, after lighting a bonfire added gajak, rewari and peanuts to it and performed puja and danced on Punjabi tunes. The atmosphere resonated with the song of ‘Dhula Bhatti Wala’. The children of primary classes won everyone’s heart with ‘Sundar Mundariye Ho, Tera Kaun Vichara’. Painting, poetry writing, speech and singing competitions were organised among the children of higher classes. School Director Malkiat Singh Rana said, “This is not just a festival, but a symbol of mutual love and brotherhood, it is our cultural system. And is helpful in strengthening national unity and integrity. Everyone should celebrate this festival together with love.” Children and teachers danced.
