My third eye

Ashita Goel, Class XII, P K R Jain Vatika School, Ambala City

Want to be a bird that flies very high,

Her scattered wings covering the whole sky!

Stronger the wings, higher she flies,

But for that sky to reach, she has to try!

Observing everything with her third eye,

All the distractions, she has to deny,

All her limitations she unties,

What her idol taught, she simply implies.

She can see,

The success standing thereby,

Is that waiting for her?

She still wants to clarify.

To all her disabilities,

She wants to say bye-bye.

Yes, she will be there soon,

She is apple of her parent's eye!

Believe in you...

Kriti, Class X, DAV Public School, Sector 8, Chandigarh

Keep on growing, keep on exploring,

Keep on striving hard,

There is a lot more to come your way,

It's just a new start!

Don't be afraid to make mistakes,

It's a way to learn new things,

Don't be afraid of failure before starting,

There are challenges your journey will bring,

You are the clouds which can block the moon,

You don't need medals and sashes,

You have a Phoenix inside you,

And it will rise from burnt ashes!

Your dreams should be like the great Himalayas,

Heart as pure as the holy Ganges,

Thoughts as deep as the valleys of Ladakh,

Mind as creative as the caves of Ajanta!

Set out your priorities,

Be confident and plan what to do,

But firstly what matters the most is to,

Believe in you!

Cosmogyral

Harmanpreet Kaur, Class XII, Sri Aurobindo International School, Patiala

You lit me up like Venus, set my flesh on fire,

Burnt my skin-inside and out.

But all I could feel was the coldness with which you turned your back and walked away,

Leaving me out of my orbit.

The roof turned into glass,

Reflecting the vast aqua sky, in a way,

I had never seen before.

It was the outcome of an eclipse

Inside me — my Venus between the lunar and the solar.

Which one to choose?

The lunar is lifeless, and heading

To the solar would bereft me of life.

So I stand there in my Donna Karan heels, dilemma-stricken.

There, I cosmogyral for 99 weeks in my (un)comfortable shoes

With my comforting heart,

And finally on the dawn of the 100th week, I plunge the counter of my pumps into my chest,

And give you up.

You blame the Karans, blame the

Ursa Major,

To absorb the surprise of me being one of the stars

Among which you stand right now, barefoot.

But, I think, if we're

assigning blame,

Then it was your fault for leaving me alone with the explosives in the first place.

My teachers!

Chirnoor Kaur, Class VIII, Ryan International School, Patiala

Teachers are some of the most unsung heroes,

They are part of both my happiness and sorrows.

They are the pillar of my success,

And also help me cope with tension & stress.

They work hard day and night,

So that my future is bright.

Though they write in black and white,

But they brought colours in my life.

The way they teach and cared,

Can't forget the knowledge they shared.

Teachers are the one, who shape the future.

They are a valuable gift from the Nature.

I would thank all my teachers,

They helped me find my special features.

Teachers play a crucial role,

They make us a fearless soul.

At the end I would like to mention,

My teachers are the reason for my perfection!
