DPS RNE Ghaziabad hosts

Discourse was based on the theme of 3E’s-Education, Equality and Empowerment

Delhi Public School, Rajnagar Extension, Ghaziabad, hosted an online English debate competition for classes VI-VIII on the occasion of National Girl Child Day. The competition was organised to make the students aware about the relevance of this day.

National Girl Child Day has been celebrated in India since 2008 to spread awareness among people about the inequalities girls face in the Indian society.

The participants were thoroughly prepared and expressed their views on the theme 3E’s- Education, Equality and Empowerment. The competition became rather enlightening for teachers, and all the listeners as views expressed were researched in detail and based on facts.

Pallavi Upadhyaya, Principal, DPS RNE, Ghaziabad, said, “It was a delight to witness the confidence and flair in public speaking that students showcased in the debate competition. We will continue to host such events that give students a chance to gain some extra knowledge apart from their regular academic classes.”

The top three winners of the competition were Ojasvi from Yamuna House, Soumya Shivendr from Jhelum, Rewa Bhardwaj from Chenab House and Sajal Saxena from Yamuna House respectively.
