Hubble Adarsh Senior Secondary Schools conduct Lohri celebrations in Punjab

Students, teachers and staff of the Hubble Adarsh Senior Secondary School in Kaewal, Balad Khurd and Gandhuan ushered into the New Year by celebrating the harvest festivities of Lohri and conducted numerous activities. This was the first such physical event after resumption of the school and was conducted adhering to the government guidelines of social distancing.

Girls and boys in traditional costumes performed giddha and bhangara in front of a select audience and later the entire school shared offerings after the pyre was lit to mark the end of the winter season. Sweets and other savory snacks were distributed to all those present.

The Hubble Adarsh Schools in Punjab have maintained continuity in education through online sessions during the lockdown and have resumed regular classes for the senior secondary students recently. Over the past year, the school has ensured that students participate in various extra-curricular activities with the teachers going out of their way in ensuring holistic development of all students.  

Harish Rawal, Vice President – Academic Operations, Eduspark International Pvt Ltd, an AMPERSAND Group company that operates and manages Hubble Adarsh Schools complimented the efforts of the school authorities by initiating various activities to help in students’ their holistic development. “This is an excellent start to the year by welcoming everyone with the festival of Lohri. We hope to conduct similar activities during the year and have a smooth transition as students return back to school. We shall implement measures to modernize and use technology in our education while integrating the blended form of learning.”

 Pooja Saxsena, Principal, Hubble Adarsh Senior Secondary School, Kalewal said, “We would like to thank all the parents, teachers, school management committee members who have been highly invested in the education of our children. Lohri marks the new beginning of the new season and also holds great significance as we are restarting physical learning after months of lockdown. We wish to thank all our stakeholders for their unending support and encouragement.”

 Ved Vrat Plah, Principal, Hubble Adarsh Senior Secondary School, Balad Khurd said, “Ushering the New Year with the festivities of Lohri is a great start for all students and staff of the schools. Our teachers have worked relentlessly towards providing education during the lockdown and have also involved the students in other activities through online learning. We thank all the parents, administrators and students for their cooperation over the past year.”

Pravin Saklani, Principal, Hubble Adarsh Senior Secondary School, Gandhuan said, “We welcome the beginning of the New Year with Lohri celebrations as we restart physical learning in our schools. Students have enjoyed all the extra-curricular activities which were conducted by our teachers’ online learning and were overjoyed in staging a performance during the Lohri event.”
