Ludhiana, May 25

The first-ever International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) batch of Sacred Heart Convent International School, Ludhiana who took their board examinations this year, has brought laurels to the school by passing with flying colours.

The March series of Cambridge University, with a schedule of over a month-long examination process, assessed students in over 14 subjects under five major streams.

Giving details about the results of Class X, Sister Shanthi Dsouza said the examinations were a mix of objective, subjective and practical skills to help develop in-depth subject knowledge of students.

There were 13 students in the first batch, of which eight have bagged distinctions while five have scored merits.

“It feels good that students have performed very well. The success of the first batch is a result of the hard work of both teachers and students,” Sister DSouza said.
