Litera Heritage Sr Sec School, Panchkula

The school celebrated Van Mahotsav with enthusiasm. Students were sensitised about the importance of trees and motivated to grow more trees, students made posters on this theme and planted various plants on the campus. Chairman Narender Singla announced that the school has been renamed as Litera Heritage School from Mount Litera Zee School. He congratulated students for showing excellent results in classes X and XII. Students were made aware about medicinal uses of plants.


Mount Carmel School, Mohali

Rainy Day is always a fun time for kids and to celebrate the first showers of Monsoon, the pre-Primary students were all armed in their raincoats and umbrellas to splash and revel in the rain, singing rain songs. They learnt about the animals found in this season, like frogs and earthworms. Tiny tots had a time of festivity with their teacher and friends, doing cotton pasting activity in the online session. Students of KG-A made mobile clouds and raindrops. While students of KG-B participated with great zeal in a craft activity wherein they made clouds and raindrops on paper plates. Samayra Singh and Pratibha Singh of KG-B recited poems related to rain too.


DC Montessori Sr Sec (Smart) School, Mani Majra

The school organised an online inter-house English poem recitation competition for classes I to IV. The main objective of the competition was to encourage and develop rhythmic and self-expression skills of students and create interest for English language. Participants were well prepared for the competition. They were delighted to compete virtually. They were judged on the basis on content, confidence, presentation and pronunciation. Principal Renu Verma concluded by encouraging students and appreciating teachers for their efforts.


Goodwill International School, Dhadiala Natt, Distt Gurdaspur

The school organised online awareness programme on Tokyo Olympics 2020. Relevant videos and information bulletin were shared with students on their WhatsApp class groups. Competitions in poster-making and Olympic quiz were conducted online. In poster-making competition, Gurvansh Singh (Class V), Sanmeet Singh (Class I) and Anmolpreet Kaur (Class III) Sunpreet Kaur (Class V) came first, second and third, respectively. In Olympics awareness quiz, Seeratjot Kaur (Class VII), Supandeep Singh (Class VI) and Raghav Sharma (Class VI) came first, second and third, respectively. Chairman Gurdial Singh explained salient features of Tokyo Olympics 2020. Director-Principal Jasbinder Kaur congratulated the winners. E-certificates were sent to the winners. Sports teacher Satnam Singh supervised the programme.


St Xavier's High School, Mohali

Students celebrated World Nature Conservation Day to spread the idea that "Nature is the art of God". They participated in several activities like paper boat making, poem recitation, story-telling, making of a bird feeder among many others.


Delhi Public School, Chandigarh

Student Council members for the academic session 2021-22 were sworn in, in an impressive virtual Investiture ceremony, amidst an air of promise and anticipation. The newly appointed members of the Interact Club were also installed in the ceremony. Jaspal Singh Sidhu, president, Rotary Club, graced the occasion. The ceremony began with the lighting of the lamp followed by 'Durga Stuti', a song and dance presentation invoking Goddess Durga. The students presented a motivational song inspiring young leaders to surge ahead in these unusual times, to embrace change, to practice selflessness and to work towards achieving their dreams. This was followed by a video presentation of the student council and the Interact Club. Principal Reema Dewan congratulated members of the newly elected Student Council. She said leaders set out to make a difference.
