St Peter’s Academy, Patiala

The 72nd Republic Day was celebrated with great, zest and zeal on the premises. Chief guest Satish Mahindru hoisted the Tricolour on the occasion. Students and teachers presented melodious songs that evoked the feeling of patriotism among all. Fr Dominic Bosco addressed the students and laid stress on the need of serving our country selflessly with humility.


Manav Rachna International School, Mohali

National Puzzle Day — the perfect day to do a little brain exercise, was celebrated by students of Class VIII. Whether it's a crossword, jigsaw, or Sudoku, puzzles engage our brain in more ways than one. After learning about the history of National Puzzle Day, students had fun-solving brain tickling puzzles in their online session. They wrapped up the day by creating their own jigsaw puzzles and showed them off to their classmates.


GMHS-45 Chandigarh

The 72nd Republic Day was celebrated with zeal. The day commenced with a prayer followed by the flag-hoisting ceremony by the Headmistress Harveen P Kaushal along with SMC Members. This was accompanied by the National Anthem. The Headmistress spoke about our diverse nation and the relevance of the Constitution and the Preamble. She enthralled the audience with inspirational stories and reiterated the need for being resolute in our path to achieve our goals. This was followed by other speeches in Hindi and patriotic poems.


DAV Public School, Patiala

Chetanya, a promising singer of the school, not only carved his way for Mumbai, but also secured a place in first 12 dulcet voices in 'Taare Zameen Par', a mega reality show held every year. His melodious songs pulled the heart strings of the audience as well as esteemed judges - Shankar Mahadevan, Jonita Gandhi and Tony Kakkar. He was applauded many times for modulation, mastery over voice, pitch and rhythm not only this, he also won the title of 'Chamakta Taara', hence winning a tab and trip to Disneyland, Hongkong, as a token of appreciation. Elated on his success, the school gave a grand and warm welcome to this rising star on the school premises.


Gita Niketan Awasiya Vidyalaya, Kurukshetra

In an endeavour to keep the staff updated about the changing trends in the education sector, Acharya Dakshta Varg was organised. The programme started with warming up and yoga exercises. All the teachers performed sitting and standing asanas. The chief guest for the occasion was Ram Kumar, Prant Prashikshan Pramukh, Vidya Bharti, Haryana. Teachers also played various games under the guidance of Shilpa Gupta and Rajiv Sharma. It was followed by an academic session in which the concept of experiential learning and its need were talked about. During the closing session, the chief guest addressed the teachers and explained the meaning of 'Sa Vidya Ya Vimuktaye".


Sanskriti KMV School, Jalandhar

Marking the 32nd National Road Safety Month, the school held an awareness and interactive session on traffic rules and road safety in coordination with Traffic Education Cell, Jalandhar. In the presence of Rachna Monga, Principal, Gagnesh Kumar, PPS, ADCP Traffic, S Harbinder Singh Bhalla, ACP, Traffic, an extensive interaction session on following traffic rules and maintaining road safety was undertaken by Shamsher Singh, ASI, and Ramesh Kumar, ASI, Traffic Education Cell for the transport department of Sanskriti KMV School. The staff was guided on following the road safety rules, maintaining cleanliness of vehicles, harmful consequences of drug and alcohol consumption, usage of mobile phones while driving as well as the new traffic penalty rules.


AKSIPS-65 Smart School, Mohali

A Sukhmani Sahib Path was organised to seek the blessings of the Almighty for the upcoming Board classes, The school management along with staff and students of classes X and XII attended the paath. Executive Director Jasdeep Kalra, Associate Director Parnika Singh and Principal Rajminder Kaur Jaitla extended their best wishes to students and guided them to remain stress free, healthy and come up with the flying colours.
