In the School National Gatka Competition, organised by the School Games Federation of India in Durg (Chhattisgarh), Harpreet Kaur, student of Class XI (science) of the school, won gold medal in the single stick team event. School Principal Sangeeta Rani said Harpreet Kaur won in the under-17 age group by playing at the district level and then at the state level. Then she was selected in the Punjab state team and she performed well in the National School Games held at Chhattisgarh. On reaching the school, DAV Managing Committee Manager Ravinder Talwar, Chairman Mohit Jain and Vice-Chairman Yogesh Mohan Pankaj congratulated Harpreet Kaur and her parents and honoured her with a memento. All staff members were present on the occasion and congratulated her.
