Kannada writer Jayant Kaikini spent two decades in Mumbai before he moved to Bengaluru. These stories of the city are tinged with melancholy but lit with hope. Tejaswini Niranjana has translated the work. Their team won the DSC Prize for South Asian Literature in 2018 for ‘No Presents Please’.
