Dera Bassi’s Member of Legislative Assembly NK Sharma said on Wednesday that he had tested positive for coronavirus on Wednesday.

Sharma, a leader of the Shiromani Akali Dal, said he took a COVID test because he had been “feeling uncomfortable” for a few days, and asked people who had come in touch with him to get themselves tested. He said his symptoms had been mild, and that he is in isolation.

“I was feeling uncomfortable for the last 2-3 days," he said in his Facebook post written in Punjabi. "All my colleagues and people that I have met in the last week are requested to get your corona test done.”
