Repair minor canal at Nagbani

Minor canal, an offshoot of Ranbir canal at Domana, which passes through Nagbani school needs immediate repair. It is the lifeline for hundreds of farmers in the area but no step is being taken to carry our repairs by the Irrigation and Flood Control Department. The apathetic attitude of locals to maintain cleanness is another issue. There is immediate need to take step in this regard. Manoj Kumar Dogra, Domana

Broken footpath in Gumet market

Below the Gumet market, near the centre of Jammu city, Jewel Chowk, is an important tourist spot and commercial hub. There are several hotels in the area. However, the JMC headquarters, just some distance away, has failed to maintain the area. Broken footpath tiles are giving a bad impression. The civic authorities should take measures to beautify the core city area. Vikram Khajuria, Lower Gumet

Potholes in business centre

The condition of the road near Regal Chowk at Lal Chowk, which is the business centre of the city, is bad. There are potholes which get filed with rain and slush and are a potential risk for pedestrians and motorists alike. The officials concerned seem to have turned a blind eye towards the road condition. Shafiq Ahmed, Maisuma
