Reiterating his claim to be the president of Pakistan Occupied Jammu and Kashmir also, BJP UT chief Ravinder Raina said PoJK was part of Jammu and Kashmir, which is under the illegal occupation of Pakistan.

“The day is not far, when India will have its full occupation of its territory, for which Central government is quite serious. My claim to be the president of PoJK is not ambiguous,” said Ravinder Raina, while talking to The Tribune.

He said many MLAs of PoJK Assembly meet him in New Delhi with memorandums from the people on that side. “I have assured them full help and cooperation,” said Raina.

He said since Pakistan has been marginalised on the world scene, it has been left with only one option to clear off its baggage from the region, lest it will have to face India’s wrath.

“While Army chief Manoj Mukund Naravane has assured full military preparedness for any task, the Government of India is working on international forums to get the matters cleared. Soon the issue will be resolved either way,” said Ravinder Raina.

Regarding total void on the political activity in UT due to the imprisonment of top political leaders, including former three chief ministers, Raina termed their detention as ‘preventive custody’.

“These leaders have been the root cause of creating trouble in the Valley in the erstwhile state. Security agencies had firm inputs to GoI about them fomenting trouble after the abrogation of Article 370. Lt Governor and Home Department is looking over their custody and release,” said Ravinder Raina.

Enumerating his achievements during his earlier term as state president, Raina said the degree of success from parliamentary elections to Urban Local Bodies, Panchayats and BDC have fully exposed the nefarious game-plan of regional political parties as well as that of Congress.

“Abstaining from participation in polls by these parties has enlightened the common masses in Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh about their politics of deceit, which has rendered them redundant in UT. People have rejected them at the grassroots level and are looking up to the BJP for holistic development of both UTs,” Raina said.

The BJP UT president also dismissed any apprehension in the minds of people of UT about losing land and jobs to outsiders and said the Centre was very particular for safeguarding all rights of people here besides bringing large scale development projects for overall development.
