Woman held for taking Rs 20K bribe

The Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB), has arrested Manmeet Kaur, a woman resident of Bholapur village in Pathankot district, for allegedly taking Rs 20,000 bribe.

A VB spokesman said the arrest was made on the basis of an online complaint lodged by Baljit Kaur of Sibal Sakol village in Pathankot district.

The complainant alleged that Manmeet had taken Rs 20,000 bribe on behalf of SI Ajwinder Singh, SHO of the Narot Jaimal Singh police station, in lieu of settling her matrimonial dispute.
