Chandigarh, March 4

The Leader of Opposition (LoP), Partap Singh Bajwa, on Monday launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for making a mockery of the position of CM by asking Punjab Assembly Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan to lock the House from the inside.

Bajwa said CM Mann had been running away from real issues. “In the two-year rule of AAP, the industry of Punjab has gone down from the first position to 24th position. The economic development of the state can gauged from the fact that the debt burden of the state has been spiralling under the Mann government. The government is set to take Rs 3,800 crore loan in March. We wanted to raise these issues in the Assembly today,” Bajwa added.

The Opposition leader said that they wanted the Aam Aadmi Party-led Punjab Government to discuss farmers’ woes in the House today. Both Punjab CM Mann and Punjab Minister of Tourism and Cultural Affairs Anmol Gagan Mann had committed to providing Minimum Support Price (MSP) to farmers if the Centre failed to do so.
