State’s 3rd mega food park opens in Phagwara

Chandigarh, November 24

After Fazilka and Ludhiana, Punjab has a third mega food park at Phagwara. Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar and Union Minister of State for Food Processing Industries Rameswar Teli virtually inaugurated Sukhjit Mega Food Park and Infra Ltd.

Set up at an investment of Rs 135 crore in Phagwara, Sukhjit Mega Food Park and Infra Ltd will create a huge demand for maize and would also give impetus to food processing industries.

The food park has a cold store and IQF facilities, multi-vegetable processing line, deep freezers, silos, dry warehousing facility, sorting grading facility, etc. — TNS
