Sidhu Moosewala killing: Two working for gangster Goldy Brar arrested from Mohali

In a major breakthrough, the Mohali police and anti-gangster task force (AGTF) have arrested two members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The suspects were allegedly working for Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar.

The suspects have been identified as Gagandeep Singh, alias Gaagi, and Gurpreet Singh, alias Gopi, both residents of Kingra village in Dabwali of Sirsa district. They were arrested near Dara Studio in Jujhar Nagar, Mohali.

Two .32 pistols were recovered from them along with eight cartridges and a Scorpio vehicle. A case under Sections 25(7) and 8 of the Arms Act has been registered at the Balongi police station.

Mohali SSP Vivek S Soni said Gagandeep and Gurpreet were in touch with Brar through gangster Manpreet Singh, alias Manna, who provided Corolla car to Sidhu Moosewala’s assailants.

Recently, Manpreet was arrested in connection with the Moosewala murder case. The two suspects were allegedly working on the directions of Brar and indulged in illegal weapons smuggling from the border area of Punjab and Rajasthan. They used to further deliver the firearms to shooters on the directions of their handler, Brar. Both Gagandeep and Gupreet were arrested while they were on their way to deliver consignment of weapons.

‘Smuggled, supplied’ firearms

• Gagandeep and Gurpreet were in touch with Goldy Brar through gangster Manpreet Singh, alias Manna, who provided Corolla car to Moosewala’s killers
• The two allegedly used to smuggle illegal weapons from the Rajasthan border and further deliver the firearms to shooters on the directions of handler Brar
• Both were arrested while they were on their way to deliver consignment of weapons. Further investigations are on, the police have said
