Bathinda, September 19

The farmers are against the three ordinances passed as bills in the Lok Sabha by the union government. Farmers are out protesting against these bills. They are named as 'Anti-Farmers.'

Punjabi artistes have taken social media by the storm.

The Pollywood industry is bringing the public's attention to this cause. They are sharing stories and posts in support of the farmers on their social media accounts.

At first, Manmohan Waris and Kamal Heer sang a son, "Pakke mull wali sadhi jama tut gai ummid, jhona, kanak ni laine kenhnde todti kharid,” against these ordinances. They tried to showcase the plight of the farmers.

Punjabi stars like Diljit Dosanjh, Gippy Grewal, Nimrat Khaira, Ammy Virk, Harbhajan Mann, Sargun Mehta, Karamjit Anmol, Gurpreet Ghuggi and many more came forward to post substantial content for the rights of the farmers.

The Punjabi stars took to the microblogging website, and showed their support.

In his tweet, Diljit Dosanjh said: "Kisaan Bachao, Desh Bachao. Kisaan Virodhi Bill Da Asi Sarey Virod Karde Haan (Save farmers, save the country. We all oppose the anti-farmer Bills)."

Dosanjh said, that the farmers would not be able to "decide" the rates for their produce, and they don't have enough space to store their crops.

"We expect farmers to feed the nation, but they can't decide on the rates," he added.

Gippy Grewal posted a video of agitated farmers, and wrote: "Save Farmers, save the country".

Another singer, Gurnam Bhullar took to Instagram, and wrote: "Sada zor vee fasla karke aa, saadi tohr vee fasla karke aa. Kisaan bachao, Punjab bachao."

Parmish Verma raised a question. He asked: “Farmer who sacrifices his life to grow food grains for the population of the entire nation, why he has to walk on the way to sacrifice his life forcefully due to economic distress”.

Singer Ammy Virk stated, that "he is an actor and singer, later; firstly he is a son of a farmer". He continued that in the year 2011-12 when he recorded his first album, his father had arranged Rs 5 lakh for him. Rs. 2 lakh was arranged by selling their car, Zen, and Rs. 3 lakh he took from a commission agent. Later, when the crop was sold, the loan was repaid, and his dream was fulfilled. So, these bills will break many dreams. He appealed to jointly protest against these bills.

Gurdas Mann also tweeted his support.

Meanwhile, BJP MP Sunny Deol's close aide, and actor Deep Sindhu reached the farmers protest outside the Deputy Commissioner office in Bathinda on Friday evening. He announced his support for the farmers against these three anti farmers’ bills.
