Pakistan national held near IB in Amritsar sector

In two separate incidents, security agencies apprehended a Pakistani national, who had entered the Indian territory in Amritsar sector, and seized 565 grams narcotics in Tarn Taran. On March 5, the BSF jawans deployed in the Amritsar sector arrested a Pakistani national moving ahead of the fence. Later, he was handed over to the Punjab Police for further probe.

In the second incident, a joint search was carried out by the BSF and the police near Sanktara village in Tarn Taran. A consignment wrapped with a white tape along with a nylon rope and an illuminating device was seized from the fields.
