No comparison, Pargat Singh snubs Arvind Kejriwal

Says cannot compare Punjab schools with Delhi’s

Pargat Singh said challenges of running a full-fledged state such as Punjab, where schools were located in far-flung areas, were different from a compact municipality like Delhi.

Jalandhar, November 26

Education Minister Pargat Singh today said Punjab’s 19,377 government schools could not be compared with 2,767 schools in Delhi.

He advised Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, who is expected to meet protesting teachers in Chandigarh tomorrow, to not indulge in publicity tactics and, instead, talk about issues based on politics. The minister said challenges of running a full-fledged state such as Punjab, where schools were located in far-flung areas, were different from a compact municipality like Delhi. — TNS
