Man run over in Ferozepur

Ferozepur, June 12

An unidentified vehicle crushed a man to death whose body kept lying on Ferozepur-Fazilka Road near Bhurekalan village throughout the night. As a result, other vehicles kept on passing over his body, which got mutilated. The deceased has been identified as Balkar Singh (34) of Kesar Singh Wala village in Mamdot.

As per information, the deceased had left his house in an inebriated condition. ASI Sukhchain Singh said during the preliminary probe, it has come to the fore that Balkar had reportedly slept on the highway as he was drunk.

“Ironically, vehicles kept passing over his body throughout the night. Someone from the village informed the police in the morning. The body has been sent for the post-mortem. A case has been registered under Section 174 of the IPC against unidentified persons,” said the ASI.
