Kidnapped Hoshiarpur youth reunited with family following brief encounter with kidnappers

Hoshiarpur, September 21

The Hoshiarpur police have traced the 19-year-old youth kidnapped from Sabzi Mandi on Monday morning following a brief encounter with the kidnappers on the Tanda-Batala road on Monday night.

A police party left Rajan, son of a vegetable arhtiya, at his house in the wee hours of Tuesday.

Unidentified men had kidnapped the youth as soon as he had reached their shop in the vegetable market. After kidnapping of the youth, there was a demand for a ransom.

According to sources, one of the kidnappers was injured in the encounter and has been arrested.

SSP Amneet Kondal confirmed the successful operation.
