New Delhi, February 8

MP Vikramjit Singh Sahney has written a letter to PM, saying that it is a matter of regret that the Maharashtra Government has amended the Takht Sri Hazur Sahib Board Act by restricting the number of members from Sikh organisations and increasing the number of state government nominated members.

“I strongly request your immediate intervention to advise the CM of Maharashtra to refrain from such unethical and unconstitutional amendments to the Act and do not interfere in the management of Sikh gurdwaras,” Sahney asked the PM.
