Hola Mohalla begins in Kiratpur Sahib; Covid -ve report must for foreigners

Kiratpur Sahib, March 24

The first phase of the 6-day Hola Mohalla festival started here today. After three days, the venue will be shifted to Anandpur Sahib on March 27. The festival will be concluded on March 29 with a procession and display of martial arts by Nihang Sikhs.

The festival started with the beating of drums and ardas. Akhand paths have also been started at various gurdwaras at Kiratpur Sahib, bhog of which will be held on March 26.

To keep a check on the spread of Covid-19, the district administration has appealed to visitors to take all preventive measures, including the use of sanitisers, masks, hand wash and social distancing. The Covid negative report within 72 hours is a must for all international pilgrims and sampling has also been made mandatory for those who will stay at hotels. — TNS
