Haryana AG to hear plea against Navjot Singh Sidhu on November 25

Show comments

Chandigarh, November 16

The Punjab and Haryana HC advocate, who moved an application before the Haryana AG for his consent in writing to institute criminal contempt petition against PCC chief Navjot Sidhu for tweets in the ongoing drugs case, will now argue on the locus standi.

One of the issues that cropped up during the arguments today was that neither advocate Parampreet Singh Bajwa nor Sidhu was party to the case before the HC.

Available information suggests the arguments were heard for about half an hour today and the matter will now come up for further hearing on November 25. — TNS
