Fazilka: Vigilance nabs JE for taking Rs 25K bribe

Fazilka, August 4

The Vigilance Bureau (VB) today arrested a junior engineer for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 25,000.

The accused has been identified as Suwarsha, who was posted at Jalalabad Block Development and Panchayat Office.

Sukhjinder Singh of Chak Roranwali stated in his complaint that the JE had demanded Rs 50,000 to clear his file related to planting of saplings on the panchayat land.

A case has been registered under Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act against Suwarsha.
