Fazilka, April 20

Wheat crop on about two acres near the International B order was reduced to ashes as it caught fire today.

Sources say a combine harvester which was harvesting the crop accidentally touched wires in the fields of farmer Mangat Singh at Mohar Khiva village. Border Security Force personnel, along with villagers, doused the flames by using fire extinguishers and prevented further loss. —
