Chandigarh, June 3
Providing a major relief to students, staff and managements of associated schools, the Punjab Government has provided extension to around 2,200 such schools for another academic session (2020-21).
Education Minister Vijay Inder Singla said after reviewing the critical situation due to the spread of Covid-19, the Education Department had decided to give them a breather for some time. He added that Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh had approved the proposal.
The minister said that during the extension period, these schools would have to strictly ensure the safety and security of students.
