Chandigarh, June 15

Sukhmanpreet Singh Sidhu, aka Sippy Sidhu, was shot dead on September 20, 2015 at a park in Sector 27 of Chandigarh.

A .12-bore gun was used in the crime.

Before leaving his home on the fateful day, 34-year-old lawyer had reportedly told his mother that he was going to meet his female friend.

Before the case got transferred to CBI, the Chandigarh police had questioned Sippy’s several friends, including judge’s daughter who was quizzed twice in connect with the murder case.

Later in 2016, CBI took over the investigation and registered a fresh FIR in the case.
