End backlog of green cards: North American Punjabi Association to Joe Biden

US-based North American Punjabi Association (NAPA) has urged US President Joe Biden administration to end the backlog of green cards for the Indo-American Community. NAPA executive director Satnam Singh Chahal said as many as 4.73 lakh family-based green card requests by the Indo-American community were pending.

Chahal said a green card, known officially as a Permanent Resident Card, was a document issued to immigrants by the US immigration department as evidence that the bearer had been granted the privilege of residing permanently in the country. — TNS
